Our rooms are provided by the Hope Senioren-Freizeitstätte – (Hope “Senior Citizens’ Leisure Center”), which is run by Hope e.V. The center’s manager, Justyne Topaz, is keen to provide senior citizens in the community with a space that serves as both a meeting place and a place for personal development. Painting classes and various other activities enable senior citizens from the community to enrich their valuable time. The Hope Senioren-Freizeitstätte is home to a choir and a guitar class (classical guitar), sports groups, and much more, such as GENAU GENAU. The space for Seniors relies on private donations and does not receive any government funding. That is why Genau Genau supports Hope e.V. with a portion of its income from language courses and is also committed (once everything is up and running) to donating the remaining profits to the Seniors’ Center after all salaries have been paid: “Eine Hand wäscht die andere” as there is a saying in German. It is not uncommon for birthdays or other celebrations to be held, such as the Dumpling Festival on May 1, 2025, in cooperation between the Bao Gao Club, the Hope Freizeitzentrum für Senioren, and Genau Genau. Below are a few impressions from May 1.
